Danielle Bing
Danielle Bing received her B.A. in International Studies with a minor in Black Studies from Washington College 2017. She received her M.A. in History and a Museum Studies Certificate from the University of Delaware in 2022. Danielle is a Ph.D. student at the University of Maryland and studies 19th and 20th century race, gender, and cultural U.S. history. Her research interests include Black women’s history, Black queer theory, Black feminist thought, and identity performance through self-fashioning. Danielle has done several internships and fellowships at institutions such as the National Archives and Records Administration, Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture, Delaware Historical Society, Mellon Foundation, and the Library Company of Philadelphia. She has also received several grants and awards for her academic accomplishments. After completing her Ph.D., she would like to pursue a career as a professor and public historian.
