Brazil Flag
2110 Taliaferro Hall
Monday, February 27, 2012 - 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM

Ben Cowan discusses the growing influence of the Christian right in Brazil.

Associate Professor of History Daryle Williams will introduce the lecture by Ben Cowan, Assistant Professor of History at Dalhousie University . A precirculated paper is available here.

Refreshments will be served.

Through such discussions such as this one, the Nathan and Jeanette Miller Center for Historical Studies hopes to increase an appreciation of the importance of historical knowledge in the education of citizens, to underline the significance of universities in producing and disseminating new ways of exploring the world, and to generate excitement about the processes of intellectual inquiry, exchange, and debate.
