Richard Evans is one of the most important historians of our times. Among his many books, he is the author of In Defence of History (1997), Lying about Hitler: History Holocaust and the David Irving Trial (2002), The Third Reich Triilogy (2003-2008), and most recently The Pursuit of Power: Europe 1815-1914 (2016). Professor Evans is eidtor of The Journal of Contemporary History. He is Douglas Southall Freeman Visitng Professor of History at the University of Richmond.
