The Maryland Colloquium on the History of Technology, Science, and Environment (MCHOTSE) and the Department of History will host a lecture with Eva Ahren on Thursday, November 4, 2010.

Eva Ahren is a researcher at Uppsala University, Sweden in the Department of History of Science and Ideas. She has published a book and several articles, including Death, Modernity, and the Body: Sweden, 1870-1940, "Human Remains: Dissection and its Histories," "Wonderful Blood: Theology and Practice in Late Medieval Northern Germany and Beyond," and "Age Discrimination: An Historical and Contemporary Analysis." Ahren's presentation is entitled "Science in Three Dimensions: The Anatomy Museum at the Karolinska Institute, Stockholm, 1830-1860."
