Fitting Memorials: Postwar American Jews Confront the Holocaust, 1945-1962

The Meyerhoff Center for Jewish Studies and The Center for Historical Studies are presenting a lecture by Professor Hasia Diner on Tuesday, December 1, 2009.

Dr. Diner's talk is entitled "Fitting Memorials: Postwar American Jews Confront the Holocaust, 1945-1962".  She will address the American Jews' memorial practices in the 1960s of the six millions Jews as they relate to historians' claims that American Jews avoided the Holocaust.

This event is free and open to the public.
