Information Session on ADVANCE

College of Arts and Humanities | History Monday, November 26, 2012 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm Taliaferro Hall, 1126

Continuing on the great work accomplished last year, this session will update you on the ADVANCE program, discuss ways of moving forward, and provide an opportunity to network with colleagues across the college. Dean Bonnie Thornton Dill, History Dept. Chair Philip Soergel, and ADVANCE Co-PI Professor KerryAnn O'Meara (EDUC) will attend the session, as well as ADVANCE Professor Julie Greene (HIST) and ADVANCE Professor Lynn Bolles (WMST). Ways of improving the work environment in ARHU will be discussed, thus building on the impressive survey carried out by the ADVANCE team - which showed important differences between ARHU and other colleges in terms of job satisfaction, work-life balance issues, and diversity. Learn about the Dashboard Project, which provides vital data related to faculty diversity, salary and years to promotion. All are welcome, and lunch will be served.
