Jesus in Film Series: Monty Python's Life of Brian

History | Joseph and Rebecca Meyerhoff Program and Center for Jewish Studies Wednesday, April 21, 2010 4:30 pm - 7:00 pm Art-Sociology Building, 2309
The Department of History and Department of Jewish Studies are co-hosting a Jesus in Film Series in conjunction with JWST331/HIST 320 Early Christianity: Jesus to Constantine course.  The featured film on Wednesday, April 21, 2010, is Monty Python's Life of Brian.

This film is an irreverent satire of Biblical films and religious intolerance that focuses on Brian, a Jew in Roman-occupied Judea. After joining up with an anti-Roman political organization, Brian is mistaken for a prophet, and becomes a reluctant Messiah.

This event is free and open to the public.
