experience of Italian Jews in the 20th century and beyond.

After Mussolini. Jewish Life and Jewish Memories in Post-Fascist Italy
(Vallentine Mitchell, 2012) appeared first in Italian in 2004. Ruth
Ben-Ghiat (NYU) described the book as "sensitive and clearly argued."
David Caesarani (University of London) emphasized that the book
"shatters ... myths about Italy's wartime record towards the Jews and
the post-war consensus."

Lunch is free but reservations are required. Please reserve through
Courtenay Lanier (clanier@UMD.EDU, X5-4260) by noon on Monday,
