The African American Political Culture Workshop and Department of History present a colloqium entitled "Royalism, Freedom, and Black Communities in Popayan, Colombia, 1809-1819" by Professor Echeverri on Tuesday, December 01, 2009.

 

Dr. Marcela Echeverri is an assistant professor of history at College of Staten Island and a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Maryland's Latin American Studies Center. The discussion will be based on a pre-circulated paper.

 

 

A light dinner will be available at 6:00 p.m.
