You are cordially invited to attend the Department of History's Winter commencement ceremony on Sunday, December 22, 2013. This is different from the campus ceremony at Comcast Center. At the History Department ceremony, we recognize each graduate individually.

The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00 p.m. and is scheduled for approximately 90 minutes.

Note: Graduates are required to wear regalia in order to participate in the ceremony.

If you need an interpreter for the deaf and hearing impaired or wish other special assistance you may contact Disability Support Services at 301-314-7682.

Parking
Parking is FREE on Commencement Days (both for the campus-wide ceremony and for the individual ceremonies).  Guests can park in the numbered lots or the parking garages during the commencement ceremony.  Parking is available at Regents Drive Garage, Lot C1, Lot C2, Lot L, and Lot Y.  Lot Y will be reserved for disabled parking.  Disabled parking will also be available in front of the Chapel and Skinner Hall (These are usually metered parking spaces but will be bagged and reserved for additional disabled parking).  Shuttle service will be available to and from the College Park Metro Station.  A paratransit van is available with a call to the main Shuttle UM Transit number (301-314-7275) for anyone with special needs.  This service will be available on a first come first serve basis; no arrangements may be made in advance.
