Fellowships and Grants

The Nathan and Jeanette Miller Center for Historical Studies and the University of Maryland Libraries have awarded the 20th Century Japan Research Award for 2014-2015.

Piotr H Kosicki is a W. Glenn Campbell and Rita Ricardo-Campbell National Fellow for 2014–2015 at the Hoover Institution. He also received the 2014-15 Distinguished Fellowship of the Notre Dame Institute for Advanced Study at the University of Notre Dame, which he declined in favor of the fellowship at Stanford.

Each year, the Nathan and Jeanette Miller Center for Historical Studies and the University of Maryland Libraries invite applications for grants to support research in the Libraries' Gordon W. Prange and East Asia Collections.

Sonya Prescott has won a Fulbright-IIE Grant.

Peter Libero, Ph.D. student in American history (Saverio Giovacchini, advisor) was granted an Andrew W. Mellon Research Fellowship from the Virginia Historical Society. He will conduct research on grassroots conservatism in post World War II Virginia in the VHS manuscripts collections in Richmond.
