An eager crowd filled the Gildenhorn Recital Hall in the Clarice Smith Center to celebrate the Fall 2015 History graduates on Sunday, December 20. Professor and Chair Philip Soergel hosted the event. Professor Michael Ross delivered the commencement address, urging those receiving degrees to cultivate "eudaimonic well-being", a state characterized by having meaningful work, fulfilling personal relationships and a sense of life balance.

Alda Benjamin and Dennis Doster were given their doctoral hood by Professors Peter Wien and Elsa Barkley Brown respectively. Professor Marsha Rozenblit, Director of Graduate Studies awarded Master of Arts degrees to Ilse Catalan, David Irwin and Kerry Tanner. Undergraduate Director, Professor David Freund, presented nineteen Bachelor of Arts degrees.
