Bell Discusses U.S. Slavery at Conference, Workshop

Professor Bell has explored slavery and its afterlives at a conference at the College of the Holy Cross this past week. At the "Rethinking the Afropolitan" conference, Bell discussed “Counterfeit Kin: Kidnappers of Color, the Reverse Underground Railroad, and the Origins of Practical Abolition.”

On October 27th, at the University of Liverpool, with support from the Royal Historical Society and the Centre for the Study of International Slavery, Bell will speak at the US Slavery’s Untold Stories in the Era of Trump and M4BL workshop. He will discuss, “Black Kidnappers, the Reverse Underground Railroad, and the Origins of Practical Abolition.”
