Professor Julie Greene has published an article examining how immigration organizers and their allies are transforming Nebraska's political culture in Dissent, a polemical magazine of politics and ideas. Greene demonstrates that even in the very conservative state of Nebraska a broad coalition emerged over the last ten years that successfully developed a message of inclusivity, supported local immigrant leaders, and created strategies to make civic integration and engagement possible.
