History Commencement Held In Memorial Chapel On May 21St

The Spring 2015 History Department Commencement ceremony was held on Thursday, May 21st.

The Spring 2015 History Department Commencement ceremony was held on Thursday, May 21st. A steady downpour didn’t dampen the spirits of the graduates, their families, faculty and staff who assembled in Memorial Chapel. 

The Department awarded ten PhDs, ten Master's and one hundred twelve Bachelor's degrees.

History Department Chair,  Dr. Philp Soergel, delivered opening remarks and the Commencement Address was given by Dr. Sonya Michel. who is retiring this year after thirteen years at UMD. Following the ceremony, many particpants gathered for a reception in Francis Scott Key Hall.
