Julie Choi Selected Charles Rangel Fellow

History Alum Awarded Rangel Fellowship

Julie Choi (BA, 2020), a former History Honors student (Advisor Colleen Woods), has been selected as a Charles Rangel Fellow. The Rangel Graduate Fellowship Program is highly competitive with only 45 people chosen each year. As a Rangel Fellow Julie will receive two years of tuition and stipend support for graduate study to earn a Master's degree. Rangel Fellows who successfully complete the program and Foreign Service requirements are appointed as Foreign Service Officers in the US Department of State. 

Julie has been teaching English in South Korea on a Fulbright Fellowship for the past two years and has decided to extend her Fulbright service for another year. She will start her Rangel Fellowship in Fall 2025.
