Kosicki Named Finalist In Book Contest In Poland

Professor Kosicki has been named a finalist in two book award contests in Poland.

Piotr H. Kosicki's 2016 book Personalizm po polsku: Francuskie korzenie polskiej inteligencji katolickiej [Personalism à la Polonaise: The French Origins of the Polish Catholic Intelligentsia] has been named a finalist in two separate national book award contests in Poland:   1) the Kazimierz Moczarski Prize, awarded jointly by the National Library of Poland and by the newspaper Gazeta Wyborcza, for best book of the year on the history of Poland since 1918 (http://wyborcza.pl/7,155501,22506047,nagroda-historyczna-moczarskiego-2017-dziesiec-nominowanych.html);   2) the Oskar Halecki Prize for History Book of the Year, awarded jointly by Polish Radio, Polish Television, and Poland's National Center for Culture (http://www.ksiazkahistorycznaroku.pl/).   The book has also been prominently reviewed in Gazeta Wyborcza, Eastern Europe's largest-circulation daily newspaper, as well as several prominent Polish-language periodicals (http://wyborcza.pl/magazyn/7,124059,22341750,personalisci-chrzescijanscy-ludzie-wielkiej-reformy.html).
