Friday, February 19, 2021 - 4:00 PM The Miller Center presents a celebration of Colleen Woods's new book Freedom Incorporated: Anticommunism and Philippine Independence in the Age of Decolonization. Discussion with Colleen Woods (University of Maryland) and Bradley Simpson (University of Connecticut).  Freedom Incorporated demonstrates how anticommunist political projects were critical to the United States' expanding imperial power in the age of decolonization, and how anticommunism was essential to the growing global economy of imperial violence in the Cold War era. This event will take place virtually, via Zoom. Registration details forthcoming.
