Joseph Carrano

Joe is in his third year in the HiLS (History and Library Science) Program, pursuing an MLS concentrating in Archives and an MA concentrating in U.S. History. His research interests include United States social and cultural history, urban history, professionalization, and environmental history. He is in the process of researching and writing his thesis, focusing on landscape architecture in Washington, D.C. during the late nineteenth to early twentieth century. Joe hopes to work in an archive once graduating, preserving and providing access to the history of as many people as possible.
