Professor Keith Olson has published three books, including THE G.I. BILL, THE VETERANS, AND THE COLLEGES, which was runner-up for the Frederick Jackson Turner Prize of the Organization of American Historians. He also has published numerous articles and reviews. His current major research project is Eisenhower and civil rights. In 1986-1987, 1993-1994, and 2004 he served as a Fulbright Professor in Finland and is an honorary member of the Finnish Historical Society. Twice he has been the recipient of Outstanding Teaching Awards sponsored by the Panhellenic Association. He has appeared on radio and television programs related to 20th-century presidential history. In May 2000 The University y of Tampere, Finland, awarded him an honorary PhD.
