Cecilia Belej studied History at Buenos Aires University (UBA), in Argentina. She received an MA in Latin American Art History (IDAES-UNSAM) and a PhD in History (UBA). She teaches Social History at the Social Sciences School (UBA). Her research focuses on the political uses of mural painting in Argentina in the 1930s and 1940s. She is currently a Post-Doctoral Fulbright Visiting Scholar at the University of Maryland.
