The Nathan and Jeanette Miller Center for Historical Studies invites you to attend a workshop with Professor Olivier Wieviorka titled "The French Memory of WWII."

 

Olivier Wieviorka is Professor at the Ecole normale supérieure at Cachan.    He has written several books on WWI, among others Orphans of the Republic (Harvard UP, 2009); Surviving Hitler and Mussolini, with Robert Gildea and Anette Warring, eds.(Berg 2006, Normandy);  The landings to the Liberation of Paris (Belknap Press of Harvard UP, 2008); and Divided Memory : French Recollection of World War II from the Liberation to the Present (Stanford UP, 2012). His new book, History of the French Resistance, has been issued by Perrin (January 2013) and is being translated for Harvard UP in Fall 2014
