Join Dr. Tom Sugrue of New York University for a lunchtime workshop on “Writing the History of the Recent Past: Challenges and Opportunities,” on April 12th in Taliaferro 2110. The discussion may be of special interest to graduate students and others who are planning or thinking about planning American History courses. We have arranged with W.W. Norton & Co. to have available several free copies of These United States: A Nation in the Making, 1890 to the Present, a new textbook by Glenda Elizabeth Gilmore (Yale) and Professor Sugrue. All are welcome.
