Former UMD student raises $70k for Harvard janitors

Rehan Staton, former UMD student and sanitation worker, strives to celebrate support staff

Rehan Staton was recently recognized in the Washington Post for his work co-founding the Reciprocity Effect, which aims to recognize and celebrate support staff at Harvard. Staton hails from Bowie, MD, and attended University of Maryland while working as a sanitation worker, and is passionate about acknowledging and supporting staff due to his background working while being a student.
