Charlie Fanning is a Ph.D. candidate specializing in 20th century US history, with a focus on labor, immigration, and food and agricultural systems. His dissertation examines the transformation of the Everglades into a hemispheric hub for agricultural production and labor migration, the region’s place in corporate food supply chains, and the trajectory of Florida's farmworkers’ movement.
