It is our pleasure to invite you to the semester’s first meeting of the Anna Julia Cooper Workshop in Black History. Please join us from 4:00-5:30pm EST on Friday, September 25 via Zoom to discuss our first work-in-progress by Crystal Webster, Assistant Professor of History at the University of Texas, San Antonio.




Professor Webster’s paper is titled “‘Hanging Pretty Girls:’ The Criminalization of African American Children in Early America.” [Paper attached]
