David Sicilia to Speak at Reagan Presidential Library

UMD Historian Speaking on 'Reaganomics'

In early August 2023, David Sicilia will be on two panels at the "Age of Reagan" conference at the Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley:  as a Roundtable expert on a panel titled "The Enduring Legacy of Reaganomics," where he will discuss the relationship between Reagan economic policy officials and the Federal Reserve, and as chair of a second panel on Reaganomics. Later that month he will serve on two panels at the European Business History Association in Oslo, Sweden presenting a paper titled "A New homo economicus: Business History Meets the Human Sciences" and as a discussant on a panel dedicated to an important new book by Harvard Professor Geoffrey Jones, Deeply Responsible Business: A Global History of Value Driven Leadership Harvard University Press, 2023).  And in September he will present a talk (remotely) titled "The Impact of U.S. Multinational Investment on the Republic of China (1912-1949)" at the Japan Society of Monetary Economics.  He is currently teaching "Capitalism in American History" for Gettysburg College in cooperation with the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History.
