On Thursday, April 10, 2014 the History department’s chapter of the national history honor society, Phi Alpha Theta, welcomed its newest members.  Phi Alpha Theta is a professional society that promotes the study of History through the encouragement of research, good teaching, publication, and the exchange of ideas among historians in a variety of ways. It seeks to bring students and faculty together, both intellectually and socially, for mutual understanding and encouragement in their common interests in the study of history.  As part of the ceremony, Dr. Emily Landau discussed her newly released book: Spectacular Wickedness: Sex, Race, and Memory in Storyville, New Orleans.
