Karin Rosemblatt Speaks At Tamayo Gallery Talk

Karin Rosemblatt, Associate Professor of History at University of Maryland, spoke at the Tamayo Gallery Talk at the Smithsonian American Art Museum this past Tuesday, March 6th. The talk included rapidfire discussions of Picasso's influence on Tamayo's work and Tamayo's part in the New York cultural scene in the 1940s. Rosemblatt discussed Rufino Tamayo's painting Fire (1946). The exhibition, Tamayo: The New York Years, will be on display until Mar. 18th, 2018.
