Leah Rasmussen Wins Dissertation Research Grant

History PhD Student Awarded Research Grant in Russian Studies

Department of History PhD student Leah Rasmussen has been awarded a 2025-6 Joseph Bradley and Christine Ruane Research Grant in Russian Studies from the Association for Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies. The grant will support the research for her dissertation project, “Canvases of Red: Painting Kazakh, Kyrgyz, and Soviet, 1917-1991.” Congratulations to Leah on having been selected from a highly competitive field.
