UMD Historian Participates in German Workshop

Peter Wien will be participating in a workshop: Shaping Body and Spirit: Gender, Reform, and Religion in the Colonial Era (c. 1900-1960), taking place July 17-18, 2023 at the University of the German Federal Armed Forces in Munich, Germany. His paper is titled: "Assassin, Sufi, Qabaday: How Young Underclass Men Made Their World in World War II Damascus."
