Jordan Sly Book on Library History

Jordan Sly, a BA alum from the Department of History and currently a PhD candidate in History, has co-published a book of essays.  The book is titled Libraries Without Borders: New Directions in Library History, co-edited by Steven A. Knowlton, Ellen M. Pozzi, and Emily D. Spunaugle, and published by ALA Editions. The book "explores the roles that libraries have played in the communities they serve, well beyond the stacks and circulation desk." 

Jordan also holds the MLS and is currently employed with UMD Libraries as Head of HSSL, Anthropology, Philosophy, Religious Studies, Digital Humanities, and SLLC; Librarian for German, Italian and French Studies (Librarian III); Humanities & Social Sciences Librarians; Research, Teaching, & Learning;  and Research and Academic Services.
