Julie Taddeo is quoted in a story in today's New York Times about the television series Peaky Blinders. The article considers why characters who exhibit violence and toxic masculinity are so popular. Julie explains that the violence that comes from the series character Tommy Shelby is mitigated by the fact that he suffers PTSD from experiences in World War I.
