The Department of History at the University of Maryland is home to a number of scholarly groups, ranging from seminars to forums to workshops to graduate field committees. They address topics including Black history, the histories of capitalism, the history of early America, history of the Middle East, and history of modern Europe. These groups feature the work of scholars in the Department, the University, from around the US, and from around the world.
